This Privacy Policy explains how Elias Fenic ("I," "me," or "my") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit https://eliasfenic.com (the "Site") or subscribe to my newsletter. I collect only what I need to run the Site and stay in touch with readers who ask to hear from me.
Information I Collect
Information you give me. If you sign up for my newsletter, I collect your email address. That is the only information the signup form asks for.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information about your visit. This includes your browser and device type, the pages you view, how long you stay, the website that referred you, and your general location (such as city or country).
How I Use Your Information
I use your email address only to send you my newsletter. I use analytics information to understand how visitors find and use the Site so I can improve it.
I do not sell books or process payments on this Site. Links to purchase my books take you to Amazon or other retailers, and any purchase you make there is governed by that retailer's privacy policy.
Newsletter and Email

What my newsletter will and won't include. My newsletter is informational only. It will contain news and updates about my writing, along with links to my Amazon store and this Site. I will never ask you for personal information or request payment through my newsletter. If you receive an email that appears to come from me and asks for your personal details, passwords, or payment, please do not respond or click any links. Report it to me at eliasfenic@gmail.com.
Unsubscribing. You can unsubscribe at any time by emailing me at eliasfenic@gmail.com with "Unsubscribe" in the subject line or message. You may also use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any newsletter. I will remove you from my mailing list promptly, and in any case within 10 business days.
Cookies and Analytics
The Site uses Google Analytics, which places cookies on your device to measure Site traffic and usage. Google processes this information according to its own policies, which you can read at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies will not prevent you from using the Site.
Do Not Track. Some browsers send "Do Not Track" signals. Because there is no common industry standard for these signals, the Site does not currently respond to them.
How I Share Your Information
I will never sell your personal information, and I will never share it with anyone for their own marketing or other purposes. Your email address is used only to send you my newsletter.
To run the Site and newsletter, I rely on a few service providers that handle information on my behalf: HubSpot (which stores newsletter subscriber emails), Google Analytics (which measures Site traffic), and my website host [name]. These providers process information only to deliver their services to me. I will also disclose information if required by law or to protect my rights or the safety of others.

The Site and my newsletter contain links to Amazon and other websites. I am not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and I encourage you to review their privacy policies. As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.
How Long I Keep Your Information
I keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete it. Google Analytics data is kept according to my retention settings, currently [2 or 14 months].
How I Protect Your Information
I use reputable service providers with industry-standard security measures to store and process your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information I hold about you, and to receive a copy of it. To make a request, email me at eliasfenic@gmail.com. I will respond within the time required by applicable law, and I will not treat you differently for making a request.
Visitors from the EU and UK
If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, I process your information based on your consent, both for the newsletter and for analytics cookies. You may withdraw your consent at any time. You also have the right to object to processing and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
International Visitors
The Site is operated from the United States, and my service providers may store information in the United States or other countries. If you visit from outside the US, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries whose data protection laws differ from your own.
Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU and UK), and I do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has subscribed to my newsletter, please contact me and I will delete their information.

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When I do, I will change the "Last updated" date at the top.
